Plenary (22 July): Australia's Democratic Innovations
For nearly three decades Antony Green has covered Australian elections for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. He is Australia’s leading election night analyst and uniquely qualified in analyzing election conducted under Australia’s various forms of preferential voting. He also produces a popular blog on Australian electoral practice and has covered elections in the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Canada. Mr. Green’s background was in database design before choosing to study political science. He has used his background to analyze how voters respond to preferential voting and to recommend changes to Australian electoral law. He is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Government and International Relations at the University of Sydney.
