The interlinked study of borders and migration has become more and more relevant as the phenomenon of migration is bringing a lot of issues at stake for governments, policy makers and civil societies. This panel is welcoming contributions that address border management aspects, how states tackle migration, the integration of refugees and security issues connected with migratory flows as well as humanitarian interventions that are very significant in the borders discussion. The panel is open to analyses that cover borders, migration and interrelated subjects both from theoretical and empirical perspectives. Comparative analyses, specific case studies and innovative research frameworks are encouraged.
