Important Information for Participants

Dear colleagues,

Thispage provides important information to all participants attending the 25th IPSA World Congress of Political Science to be held in Brisbane, 21-25 July 2018. Please familiarize yourself with the information on the Venue page to access the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC).


Program Schedule

Please refer to the online Program Schedule for the most updated information on the time and location of your presentation or panel. Click [My schedule] to view the schedule of panels where you have a role.

Registered participants may also access the electronic (PDF) version of the WC2018 Printed Program on the Congress Program page.

Paper authors were expected to submit their full papers by July 1, 2018. You may view all submitted full papers in the Online Paper Room, available to IPSA online account holders.

Mobile App for WC2018

Download the Chameleon Event App to enhance your IPSA World Congress experience in Brisbane. This customized mobile app lets you navigate the conference schedule, activities, exhibitors, maps & floor plans and other useful information. In addition, you can create your own schedule.

Download the Chameleon Event App using the following short url : http://meaurl.com/chameleon. Once downloaded, type 'IPSA/AISP WC 2018' in the search field and choose it from the list when it appears.


Registration

Registered participants can pick up their Congress badge and bag at the registration area  located in the Main Foyer when entering the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) via the main entrance at the corder of Merivale and Glenelg Streets. View the Venue page to view maps and floorplans.

Badges are organized in alphabetical order by the first letter of the participant’s last name (as it appears in the online profile).

SAT,  July 21: 15:00 – 18:00
SUN, July 22: 08:00 – 20:00
MON, July 23: 08:00 – 17:30
TUE, July 24: 08:30 – 17:30
WED, July 25: 08:30 – 17:30

Full Papers

Paper authors were expected to submit their full papers by July 1, 2018. If you are the main author and have not uploaded your paper, please do so immediately.

Guidelines: A written paper, in English or French, no more than 25 pages, single-spaced on letter-sized (or A4) paper. Refer to Guidelines for Full Papers.

You may view all submitted full papers in the Online Paper Room, available to IPSA online account holders.


Duties of Paper givers, Panel Chairs and Discussants

As per the Guidelines for Participation in IPSA World Congresses.


Presentation Equipment and Internet

Each presentation room will be equipped with a computer, a screen and a projector. Wi-Fi Internet connection will also be available. Each computer is equipped with the Microsoft Office suite. Please be sure to have your persentation ready on a USB drive (memory stick).

Note that remote presentations (via Skype) are not acceptable.

The panel is 1h45min in length, and must include time for questions. For more information about your individual panel presentation, please contact your panel convenor or panel chair directly (view the contact list in the panel).


Documents Available for Participants

Certificates of Participation

A Certificate of attendance and a letter of participation will be available in electronic format (PDF) in the participant's user account (My Congress) after the Congress. Note that hard copies of the certificate will not be issued during the Congress.


Cancellation

If you can no longer participate in the IPSA World Congress, notify us urgently by sending an email to wc2018@ipsa.org so that the panelists can be informed.
